Traci Trasky & 12-year-old boy, Scottsville KY, Obituary, Death: Community Mourns Traci Trasky and 12-Year-Old Boy

The close-knit community of Scottsville is grieving following the heartbreaking deaths of 42-year-old Traci Trasky and a 12-year-old boy, who were found deceased Wednesday evening at a residence on Stamps Road in Kentucky.

According to officials, just before 7 p.m. on February 18, 2026, troopers from Kentucky State Police Post 3 were contacted by the Allen County Sheriff’s Office to assist with a death investigation at 334 Stamps Road. Upon arrival and further examination of the scene, authorities confirmed that both Traci Trasky and the juvenile had lost their lives inside the home.

As investigators worked to piece together the circumstances surrounding the tragedy, it was discovered that Trasky’s vehicle was missing from the property. A short time later, the vehicle was located abandoned on Pleasant Field Church Road in Allen County. Law enforcement agencies, including the Scottsville Police Department, responded swiftly to the developing situation.

With the assistance of a drone, officers observed a suspect running through a nearby wooded area. Following a brief foot pursuit, a 17-year-old male juvenile was taken into custody without incident. After conducting interviews and further investigative steps, authorities charged the juvenile with two counts of murder, tampering with physical evidence, theft by unlawful taking of an automobile, and first-degree fleeing or evading police on foot.

Due to their ages, the names of the juveniles involved have not been publicly released. Investigative personnel with Kentucky State Police continue to examine the case, and officials have indicated that the investigation remains active.

As the legal process unfolds, the community of Scottsville is left grappling with shock and sorrow. Friends, neighbors, and loved ones are mourning the loss of two lives taken far too soon. In times like these, communities often draw closer together, offering support, prayer, and compassion to those most affected.

Our deepest condolences go out to the families and friends of Traci Trasky and the young boy. May they find strength and comfort in one another as they navigate this unimaginable loss.
