It is with profound sadness that we remember and honor the lives of Charlie Carangelo, 58, and Kim Carangelo, 59, of Bayonne, New Jersey, who passed away suddenly on Wednesday, February 11, 2026. Their loss leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of their family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing them.

Charlie and Kim shared not only a name, but a life rooted in love, loyalty, and devotion to family. Together, they built a home filled with warmth, laughter, and unwavering support for those around them. Their bond was evident to all — a partnership grounded in care, resilience, and shared memories that will forever be treasured.

Kim was a devoted and loving mother to John McShea and Crystie Smith. Her pride and joy extended to her beloved grandchildren, Leah Smith, Joseph Smith, and Meadow McShea, who brought endless happiness into her life. She cherished every moment spent with them, celebrating their milestones and surrounding them with unconditional love. Her nurturing spirit and generous heart will live on in each of them.

Charlie will be remembered for his strength, kindness, and steadfast dedication to family. He carried himself with quiet compassion and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Whether through a simple conversation, a thoughtful gesture, or his steady presence, Charlie made those around him feel supported and valued.

They were the cherished children of the late Charles Carangelo and Regina Iovino, and are also survived by several cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles who will hold their memories close. Family gatherings, shared traditions, and the countless moments of togetherness now stand as lasting reminders of lives well lived.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Saturday, February 21, from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM at G. Keenen O’Brien Funeral Home, 984 Avenue C, Bayonne. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 11:00 AM at St. Vincent’s Church, followed by private cremation.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to the Bayonne Fire Canteen in care of Will Chwalyk, 289 Avenue A, Bayonne, NJ.

Charlie and Kim’s lives were defined by love — love for family, for community, and for one another. Though they are gone too soon, their legacy of devotion, generosity, and togetherness will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved them.
